Day 58 – The End of Month Two!

Today was the end of month two. I can’t believe it. Given that it was a shorter month, I’m going to weigh-in/measure/take pictures on Saturday for you all.

Ula and I went to a fashion show tonight which was awesome and so much fun. It really gave me this new inspiration to be more fashionable – to learn how to accessorize and incorporate different materials, textures and colors into my wardrobe. So as I slowly start to revamp my clothing (since everything is becoming too big), I will make a goal to buy more quality, versatile pieces. It may mean spending more money on them, but in the long run, I will be more confident in myself and happy with my purchases.

After the show, we went for a quick bite at a Greek restaurant. I had some calamari, Greek lemon/chicken soup and a cabbage salad. I don’t know what the calorie count was, but I’m pretty sure I went over my limit today. I did work out on lunch, burning 427 calories, so I was happy to at least get that in to get the extra consumption calories.

On another note, I have found myself really slipping up a lot lately…eating out, not cooking at home, eating sweets, drinking wine, etc. I know that it’s not healthy to stop my life and stop the social piece of going out with friends, but at the same time, I recognize that this is how it always happens. I start off really good…then, I start slipping up more and more…then go back to being good for a few days….then I’m bad again…and eventually, I lose all motivation and will power. I find my mind thinking, “well you’ve done great losing the weight so here, cheat 10 times this week instead of once”. I think the fact that I recognize it will help me not go off the deep end this time around, but friends – I’m really needing some new found motivation to stop from doing this! I haven’t gained, which at the end of the day is ultimately what I care about, but I don’t to derail either. So if you have any tips, advice, etc. to help me not do this, I would appreciate it! Day 57 – Wednesday, February 27, 2013

Worked from home today because of the weather. Nothing exciting to report except that I had a fantastic night out. I didn’t have dinner – just some wine, cheeses and fruits, so I’m sure I met my calorie needs for the day, even though it seems like I didn’t eat that much. I didn’t work out because I don’t have the FOB to get into my gym area still…so just gonna log the food. 🙂

68 calories – 4 egg whites
120 calories – 1 mini whole wheat bagel w/ slither of butter
30 calories – 1/4 cup milk in coffee
244 calories – 4 mini quinoa muffins
53 calories – 1 small fuji apple
170 calories – 1 cup butternut squash soup w/ 1/2 cup white beans

685 calories consumed pre wine and cheese (1200 allowed for the day)

Day 56 – Snow Day Tuesday!

Woke up this morning anticipating the big snow would come. I didn’t get up early enough to go to the gym so I figured I’d go on lunch or after work. Well, that didn’t happen because the blizzard started around 11:30 a.m. I left work early, came home, finished the day working here..and before I knew it, it was after 5. I cooked dinner, cleaned up, and now here I am. I could go downstairs and workout, but I don’t want to get all wound up before bed. Also, someone took my coat at the bar Saturday with my keys in it. 😦 So, I currently do not have my FOB to get in/out of the entrances in my building and I have to ask the front door staff to do it for me. I’m hoping someone will return them to the bar, but if not, that’s $510 in keys that need to be replaced. *sigh*

I did go over a little on my calorie count (as you’ll see below), but more so because I ate things with higher calorie counts. Grrrr…hate when I do that! Ah well – overall, still not too bad. My goal is to be 145 lbs by Thursday. When I stepped on the scale a few days ago, I was 145 but I’m scared I’m up a pound or two from Sunday’s indulgences. We shall see! I’m actually excited to take the new set of pictures and see how I compare to last month’s. Eeek! Food count was:

Day 55 – Motivated Monday!

Woke up feeling really good this morning! I went grocery shopping this weekend and had my lunch packed so I hit the road and was at work early! On my way in, I was listening to the radio, only to hear that I was a finalist for the competition with a celebrity in your swimsuit! Yes – can you believe it?! I can’t! 🙂 Who was the celebrity you ask? Well, this was my submission to the radio station (with picture):

I went to the gym on lunch and burned 432 calories doing cardio. Ohhh yeah! That gave me 1,632 for the day and I ate pretty darn good. Day 53 and Day 54 – Saturday, February 23/Sunday, February 24, 2013

Ok so I was bad this weekend. End of story. I have found myself slipping up more and more. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m losing the weight so my mindset reverts back to old ways or what, but I don’t like it! I did good most of the day Saturday – until dinner and wine with Ula. 😉 Then Sunday, I did not do a thing and ate like CRAP! Seriously – pizza, cookies, Subway Meatball sub – you name it! Probably the worst day so far.

It was a rough weekend for me emotionally too so I think that partially had to do with it. But, it will get better and I will find myself getting back into the swing of things. Looking forward to a new week!

Gonna leave it at that – I screwed up and will restart Monday!

Just logging the food for the day! Swimming was great and I signed up for 8 more weeks of lessons! Woo hoo!

Day 51 – Thursday, February 21, 2013

So I woke up this morning and weighed myself, just to see where I am. Guess where?

146.8! Down another pound! OH YEAH! Guess you still can lose weight even on bad days (or weeks in my instance)? That means I have one week exactly to lose another pound. I am 110% confident that I can do this. Even if I am at 145.8, I will still be ecstatic, although I would love to see 145.0 🙂

I did really good throughout the day. I went to the gym and did the stairmaster and treadmill and burned 400 calories. After work, I went to dinner at MK and let me just say – AMAZING! We did the tasting menu with wine pairings and wow – delicious! Here is a picture of the menu showing everything.

The food was served in small portions and the wine pairings weren’t full glasses, so while I’m sure I went over my remaining 899 calories for the day, it probably wasn’t by much.  Other food consumed was:

32 calories – 1/4 cup 2% milk in coffee
100 calories – small strawberry protein shake post workout
